Ch. 3 Silk

Silk

Slowly things started to change.  

First it was physical, she felt stronger and healthier. Others said she looked younger and happier. Her skin, her hair, her eyes, everything seemed to shine. There was an inherent softness to her, but yet she was more.

Then one day she pushed the water away. No, she didn’t drown, she didn’t even mind the wet or the floundering; because when the water did come higher, instinct taught her to swim, to survive and to enjoy the process.
